No, not THAT Michael Jordan. I’m the Global Communications Specialist - and author of The Global Communications Toolkit - who relishes the challenge of helping companies and not-for-profit organizations strategically engage and persuade their target-audiences.
How? Through what I call “Strategic Storytelling.” First, we visualize our smart-but-skeptical audience – and empathetically imagine what might push their button. Then, we craft a core message, support it with credible evidence, and weave it into humanized content.
For all clients, I apply my Thought Leadership and toolkit of skills, strategies and storytelling, which I call “The MJ Method.” It's derived from my unique background in Journalism, Communications and Academia, across four continents – as I feel fortunate to be an American who’s also lived, worked (and even helped raise three children) in Europe (Budapest, Hungary; Bratislava, Slovakia), Africa (Maseru, Lesotho) and Asia (Beijing, China).
During my career, I feel fortunate to have:
For clients, I bring these capabilities to the table:
More recently, my passion for Strategic Storytelling has turned to contemporary pressures on organizations. For companies, that means how to prove to regulators, watchdogs, consumers, etc., that they’re fulfilling commitments to Sustainability, ESG and DEI. Thus, I offer strategy, training and writing in evidence-driven #SustainabilityStorytelling, #ESGStorytelling & #DEIStorytelling.
For NGOs, it may mean proving to donors that they spend donor-dollars as impactfully as possible. Or, are making progress toward achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Thus, I offer #ImpactStories & #SDGStorytelling.
You’ll find evidence of my own impact here, as well as among my LinkedIn posts and articles. Contact me to assist your organization: michael@mjmethod.com.
